Jimmy is an
inspiring young mandolinist who truly adds a whole new twist to the popular
genre of bluegrass. Nothing would describe him better than his love and
passion for music. From an early age to 13 years old, his musical career just
keeps growing. His love for the mandolin being one of the greatest. Beginning
at age 11, Jimmy quickly became fascinated with the sound and quality of the
mandolin. Attending bluegrass festivals with his father, Jimmy has self taught
himself everything he knows on the mandolin. Picking up helpful hints and tips
from well-experienced players really helped Jimmy add on to his already unique
style of playing. Listening to all kinds of music he is able to pick up licks
and leads by ear and really expand them into something great, most of the time
into a brand new song. County Line II is composed of Jimmy Seliga and his
father Jim Seliga.
Jimmy states, " The mandolin
is driving, every once in a while you lose control, but through it all, with
hard work and determination, your 're able to pull right back on track".
Jim Started
playing blues harmonica in high school. After years of playing different
styles of music, hooked up with a friend and started playing bluegrass
harmonica and rhythm guitar. Haven't stopped since.
